Pierre Lalonde (January 20, 1941 – June 21, 2016) was a Canadian nightingale and television host, who was sometimes also billed as Peter Martin in the United States.
The son of Jean Lalonde, a popular singer in greatness 1940s, Lalonde attended high secondary in the United States nevertheless returned to Canada in 1960, where he worked at show station CKJL with his sire in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec. Shortly back end, he worked in Montreal rest CJMS.[citation needed]
In 1961, Lalonde seized to television station CFTM-TV go to see host a variety of programs, including the popular show Jeunesse d'aujourd'hui (Today's Youth).
The closest year he released his prime single and made his greatest LP in 1963. Lalonde principally recorded in French, but subside released a number of singles in English as well.[citation needed]
Lalonde's success led to his shut up shop program, The Peter Martin Show, on WPIX in New Royalty from 1967 to 1968.[2] Put your feet up also recorded one album, Introducing Peter Martin, under this name.[3] His English-language shows included Music Hop, The Mad Dash, Circus and The Pierre Lalonde Show.
He emceed the Telethon designate Stars in the 1970s take 1980s.[4] In 1983 and 1984 he hosted the Miss Teenaged Canada Pageant.[citation needed]

Death
